PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Gialitaki Anna graduated from the Physics Department of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) in 2016 and completed her M.Sc. studies at the postgraduate program of the same department entitled “Environmental Physics” in 2018. Since 2017 she is working as a research fellow for the Institute for Astronomy, Astrophysics, Space Applications & Remote Sensing (IAASARS) of the National Observatory of Athens (NOA) in parallel with her Ph.D. studies at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) (since November 2018). Her research interests mainly revolve around remote sensing of the atmosphere with active and passive sensors and atmospheric aerosol characterization in terms of their optical and microphysical properties.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

Physical, optical and chemical properties of aerosols using remote sensing and in-situ observations.

About Us

ReACT stands for “Remote sensing of Aerosols, Clouds and Trace gases”, to describe the research focus of the respective research team led by Dr. Vassilis Amiridis. ReACT consists of highly motivated scientists within the field of Atmospheric Sciences, combining a number of Post-doc researchers, Ph.D. and M.Sc. students as well as other research and technical staff, using the resources, infrastructure and experience of the Institute for Astronomy, Astrophysics, Space Applications and Remote Sensing (IAASARS).
