NOA-ReACT participated in the 1st scientific conference PANACEA at the University of Crete, Heraklion

NOA-ReACT participated in the 1st scientific conference PANACEA at the University of Crete, Heraklion, with one oral presentation and four posters.

Dr. Vassilis Amiridis gave a talk on “Remote Sensing synergies at the island of Antikythera for multi-mission CalVal”. On poster presentations, Dr. Antonis Gkikas presented his work on “First assessment of AEOLUS aerosol products versus ground-based lidar measurements obtained at Antikythera island”, the PhD student Ioanna Tsikoudi presented her work about the “Aerosol properties at Antikythera and Finokalia during two experimental campaigns”, the PhD student Maria Tsichla presented her work about “A new methodology lidar-based characterization of marine particles”, and the PhD student Peristera Paschou presented her work about “The ESA-EVE polarization lidar for assessing the AEOLUS aerosol product performance”.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

About Us

ReACT stands for “Remote sensing of Aerosols, Clouds and Trace gases”, to describe the research focus of the respective research team led by Dr. Vassilis Amiridis. ReACT consists of highly motivated scientists within the field of Atmospheric Sciences, combining a number of Post-doc researchers, Ph.D. and M.Sc. students as well as other research and technical staff, using the resources, infrastructure and experience of the Institute for Astronomy, Astrophysics, Space Applications and Remote Sensing (IAASARS).
