At NOA-ReACT, we believe that growth comes from continuous learning and collaboration. We are proud of our talented team members, Ioanna Tsikoudi and Iliana Koutsoupi, who participated at the HErZ 2024 Summer School at the Jülich Observatory for Cloud Evolution (JOYCE) from August 12-23.
As part of this experience, Ioanna worked on the rainfall project with Lukas Pfitzenmaier, researcher at the University of Cologne, mastering disdrometers and cloud radars. Iliana collaborated with Bernhard Pospichal, also scientist at the University of Cologne, on the cloud project, gaining hands-on experience with cloud radars and ceilometers.
Both actively participated in the VITAL campaign and learned cutting-edge remote sensing techniques, which they will put in good use in future atmospheric science projects. VITAL stands for "Vertical profiling of the Troposphere: Innovation, opTimization and AppLication."
Our team is more than just a group of scientists – we are a community of passionate learners. It brings together post-doc researchers, Ph.D. and M.Sc. students, and skilled technical staff, all motivated by a shared mission: to explore the frontiers of atmospheric science and shape its future.
