ERAD 2024 - Best Poster Presentation Award: Ioanna Tsikoudi

At the 12th European Conference on RADar in Meteorology and Hydrology (ERAD2024) in Rome, our team had a shining moment as Ioanna Tsikoudi was awarded the Best Poster Presentation Award for her outstanding research titled "T-matrix simulations of Spectral Polarimetric Variables from a cloud radar.

Her exceptional work, closely aligned with the goals of the REVEAL project, is aimed at advancing our understanding of aerosol-cloud interactions in the Eastern Mediterranean through innovative remote sensing and in-situ observations.

This biennial event fosters essential collaboration between academia, industry, and weather services, drawing scientists, engineers, and key stakeholders together. ERAD 2024 saw participation from 39 countries, with 423 attendees (including 46 online participants), 165 talks, 221 posters, and 6 keynote presentations.

We also extend our congratulations to Alessandro Battaglia, professor at the Politecnico di Torino, for receiving the prestigious "Gutta Aurea" award for his groundbreaking work on radar observations from space.

A big thank you to CNR-ISAC and Sapienza Università di Roma for organizing such an impactful conference!
